Facial Volume Loss Treatment
Enhance your natural facial features for a refreshed look.
Skin changes over time due to factors like sun exposure, lifestyle, and natural ageing. Our Cranbourne team offers consultation-led facial volume loss treatment to help support facial balance, symmetry, and definition where appropriate. The aim is a natural-looking result that suits your individual features.
These treatments are versatile and tailored. Some people notice a change soon after treatment, while results and longevity vary from person to person. Depending on your treatment plan, the area treated, and individual factors, outcomes may last for several months and in some cases up to around 12 months. Repeat treatments may be recommended to help maintain results. Outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

What do I need to know about facial volume loss treatment?
Facial volume loss treatment and lip treatment can be used in different ways, which your practitioner will discuss with you during a consultation. A consultation is important to confirm whether treatment is suitable for you, to discuss alternative options, and to explain expected outcomes, costs, aftercare, and any limitations. Treatment is only provided after appropriate assessment and informed consent, and it may not be suitable for everyone.
What else should I know about my treatment?
- You may experience swelling or tenderness. A cool compress may help.
- Avoid putting pressure on the treated area. If advised by your practitioner, sleep with your head elevated on the first night after treatment.
- For the first 24 hours, avoid significant heat exposure (including saunas and very hot showers), intense exercise, and alcohol, unless your practitioner advises otherwise.
- Bruising can occur. Some people choose an over-the-counter bruise cream, but ask your pharmacist if it is suitable for you.
If you take blood-thinning medicines or supplements, tell your practitioner during your consultation. Do not stop prescribed medicines unless your treating doctor advises you to.
Risks and Recovery
These treatments involve risks and require appropriate aftercare. Results vary between individuals.
Possible side effects can include temporary redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, itching, and small lumps. Less common risks can include infection, prolonged swelling, uneven appearance or asymmetry, scarring, skin discolouration, allergic reaction, or the need for further treatment.
Rare but serious complications can occur and need urgent medical review. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience worsening or severe pain, skin blanching or a change in skin colour, spreading swelling, signs of infection (such as increasing redness, heat, fever, or discharge), or any visual symptoms.
Recovery time varies. Some people return to usual activities the same day, while others may have visible bruising or swelling for several days. Your practitioner will provide personalised aftercare instructions and advise when to resume exercise, makeup, and other activities.
